Attorney Profile

Hello. My name is Vincent L. Scott. I began my legal career in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1990, as a Marion County Deputy Prosecutor. While at the Prosecutor's Office I participated in hundreds of hearings and trials on behalf of the State of Indiana. I also rode with the Drunk Driving Task Force to learn the proper procedure to initiate and complete an arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) or OVWI in the State of Indiana.

In 1991 I left the Prosecutor's Office to begin an independent private practice of law. Between the years of 1992 and 1996 I functioned as a part-time public defender in the Marion County Drug Court, the Marion County Superior Criminal Courts, and the Marion County Domestic Violence Courts whiile developing my private practice. These experirences have provided extensive trial expertise while allowing for the development of experience in other areas of the law.

In 1997 with various family members I opened and assisted in the operation of a home health medical supply company. While involved with this business I was exposed to negotiations with venders, business landlords, and various business service providers. The day to day operations of small business in Indiana, and methods of developing market share for the small business owner have become a way of life for me. This experience has shown me that small business owners need an attorney who can relate to the nature of how their individual business functions in today's economy. This understanding of small business needs is now an intergral part of my legal practice.
